What people ask us most.
Is an app that warns about checks allowed?
In Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg, yes: an app that shares information is not a radar detector, and the latter is banned. In France, apps may not show the exact location of a check and work with wider zones instead. In Germany, the driver may not use such an app while driving; a passenger may.
Which countries does Leopol cover?
Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Germany and Luxembourg. Fixed cameras, average-speed zones and mobile checks are on the map in all five.
Does it work without internet?
The map and the fixed cameras stay available. Live reports, such as police and accidents, need a connection: they come from the road at that moment.
What does Leopol cost?
Leopol is free. Pro is €3.95 a month, the first 7 days are free, and you cancel whenever you like.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, under Settings, or by emailing contact@trapspotter.com. Deletion is permanent: your reports, your location history and your subscription records go with it.
